Barrington Tops offers an unrivalled experience of world heritage wilderness. As part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, Barrington Tops National Park is one of the largest temperate rainforests in Australia. Lake Glenbawn
Lake Glenbawn is located in the Upper Hunter Region, just 15 minutes past Scone. Lake Glenbawn is also one of the best freshwater fishing spots in NSW. Cast a line and you can catch our famous ‘big bass’, golden perch (yellow belly) and catfish. Water sports are popular, including canoeing, pleasure boating, sailing and wind surfing water skiing and wake boarding.


Scone Race Club
The current racecourse, constructed in 1994 is only 2 minutes from Scone Airport. The racing surface is known to be the best country circuit in New South Wales. It attracts the leading city and provincial trainers such as James Cummings, Peter Snowden, Gai Waterhouse, Chris Waller, Bjorn Baker, Paul Perry, Kris Lees etc. The Scone Race Club conducts 17 TAB race meetings per year (including the carnival) and has a fully operational Function Centre which is beautifully appointed and has spectacular views. This is available for guests on race day as well as being hired out for weddings, dinners, parties and conferences.


Scone Polo Club
Polo is a horseback ball game, a traditional field sport and one of the world’s oldest known team sports. The game is played by two opposing teams with the objective of scoring using a long-handled wooden mallet to hit a small hard ball through the opposing team’s goal. Each team has four mounted riders, and the game usually lasts one to two hours, divided into periods called chukkas or “chukkers”.

The Peel Inn Hotel
The Peel Inn is a gold rush pub. It was built by William McIlveen in 1860 after the discovery of the precious metal at Hanging Rock. The hotel is in the must-see village of Nundle. What Nundle lacks in size, it makes up for in personality.

All the beef served at Graze is pasture fed and grain finished, raised on the pastures of Colly Creek at Willow Tree, approximately 2kms from the restaurant.
Only the best steers are selected for our in-house dry-aging room, which is visible from Graze Restaurant. The dry-aging room has a viewing window so customers can see this specialised process.
The Graze menu changes with the season, showcasing only the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
